Dear Sir,

French Government Requirements at Port Said. Referring to the conversations we have had with you upon this subject, we beg to subjoin copy of memorandum in connection therewith, with which we shall feel obliged by your kindly doing the needful.

"The French Government are making arrangements to import Coal for the requirements of all boats under requisition to them and have requested Messrs Worms & Co. to submit terms for such Coal for them at Port Said.
Messrs Worms & Co. ask for permission to accede to this request & that their neighbours will respect these clients of theirs, agreeably with clause 4 of the Honourable Understanding."
