Cardiff, 13th September 1917
Messrs Worms & C° - Paris

Dear Sirs,
New offices. We had hoped to have sent you a completed document constituting a Lease of the above covering periods up to 21 years tenancy, but for reasons too long to go into this is not practicable, and we therefore send you enclosed for the respective signatures of Messrs Hypolite Worms, Michel Goudchaux and Georges Majoux, which we shall only hand over when we have finally arranged matters with the Lessor anent date from which full rent shall run.
Owing to the scarcity of labour much work about the premises still remains to be effected, and thus we contend that allowance for such inconveniences should be made us. Our original arrangements entailed, as we told you, an annual rent of £250, but we considered it advisable to take another room at the top of the building, which will be invaluable for many purposes; in fact, at present we are not able to utilise the Muniment Room in the Basement owing to its wet condition. However, we are well satisfied with our location, which is
most convenient, and trust when we have the pleasure of a visit from you, that you will approve of the way in which the place is fitted up, which everybody seems to consider an immense improvement on our old installation.
Yours very truly,

G. W. Moore
