Mr. J. Borie,
c/o Messrs, Worms & Co., 45, boulevard Haussmann, Paris, France.

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your letter of the 16th October. I am glad to know that you are compiling the historical record of the firm of Worms & Co. who have had such long and happy relations with this town and port of Grimsby.
Mr. Josse is still remembered in Grimsby. He took an active part in the life of the town but he was never Mayor. On the other hand he was so well thought of by the Grimsby people that on July 4th, 1892, i.e. a year before his death, he was elected as the Member of Parliament for the Borough. He held the seat for not quite a year as at the Election in March of 1893 he did not stand for re-election.
I may say that his portrait still hangs in the Grimsby
Town Hall.
Yours faithfully,
