Glasgow, December 6th 1918
Messrs Worms & Co. - Newcastle-on-Tyne

Dear Sirs,

We duly received your esteemed favor of 5th inst. and noting contents, we have much pleasure in stating that Signor Marco Segre, has represented us for the sale of coal, in Turin, and district, for a number of years past.
He is a young man, energetic, capable, and reliable and in anything he has done for us, we have always found him, and his methods of business thoroughly satisfactory. Mr. Segre is presently in the Italian Army, but hopes to be free in the course of the next two months, and we know that he has been looking for additional agencies as an outlet for his energies after the War. He is thoroughly conversant with the Italian Coal Trade, having received his business experience with one of the largest importers in Italy, and being a young man of initiative and resource we can confidently recommend him as a first-class agent to anyth requiring his services. As he has only acted for us in the capacity of agent, we do not know anything with regard to his financial position, but from what we know of Mr. Segre, we do not think that he would undertake any obligations beyond his capability of fulfilling same.
Without our prejudice and responsibility,
We remain, meanwhile.
Yours truly,

Crawford Duff & Co.
